The Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) is a comprehensive center dedicated entirely to provide Cancer Care across the State of Kuwait. KCCC utilizes all available resources to serve cancer patients with a wide number of competent medical staff and several available treatment modalities. KCCC is a governmental center affiliated to the Kuwait ministry of health.
The center is primarily made up of Hussain Makki Juma building for Specialized Surgery, Sheikha Badriya Al Sabah Medical Oncology Building, Faisal Sultan Ibn Issa Diagnostic Imaging building, and Bahbahani building for hematology and stem cell transplantation. Three areas of cancer treatment are represented; the surgical oncology team, the medical oncology team, and the radiation oncology team.
With over 600 highly qualified medical oncology staff, KCCC is a 200 bed hospital complex located in Shuwaikh. KCCC treats over 2000 new cancer patients each year from Kuwait and the region.

This building is dedicated to our medical oncology team. It consists of 5 floors which include medical OPD along with patient's waiting area in the ground floor. The first consists of Causualty day care unit, male and female chemotherapy unit as well as two doctor rooms. The second floor male ward and the third floor female where each consists of 31 rooms. One general room with 2 beds, 4 rooms with 4 beds in each room, 11 private rooms and 2 isolation rooms. It also consists of one doctor room, one head nurse room, one nurses rest room, one treatment room, one store room, one relative rest room and 2 nursing stations. The fourth floor contains the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and ICU ward. On the fifth floor, the department chairman's office and medical oncologist offices can be found.
Medical Oncology Department in KCCC have been set up with experts in cancer care to offer a high quality based service through targeting all dimensions of healthcare quality (safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered).
Medical Oncology Department in KCCC decentralize the responsibility of patient care into 4 specialized units; Breast, GIT, Thoracic Oncology & Sarcoma, and finally Other Solid Malignancies unit. These clinical units have been set up with specific remit to expert training, experience, and multidisciplinary approach.
The Ministry Of Health in the State of Kuwait collaborates with other entities to provide clinical expertise to Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) and strengthen cancer service delivery at the KCCC. Through this collaboration, KCCC offers our patients an access to the best internationally-certified cancer services, while ensuring continuous improvement of cancer care in Kuwait. We also focus on improving nursing and physician education, health administration and information technology. We continue to expand our experience internationally while developing systems and innovative approaches that would benefit our patients.
